Lebeau: Souvenirs de la Puisaye for harmonium opp.136 ff.
Alfred Lebeau is no longer an unknown quantity in the field of harmonium. He is also known for his lively and invigorating Aubade op.35.
The present opp. 135 to 140, called "Souvenirs de la Puisaye", presumably written from 1872 to 1873, are an important contribution by Lebeau to the harmonium literature, especially to the early art harmonium literature. Here Lebeau describes his memories of the Puisaye, a countryside in Burgundy.
For each of the pieces, Lebeau has indicated two possible registrations that can be used on a normal harmonium as well as on the art harmonium (Orgue Mustel).
