Wagner: Wagner Organ Album Vol.2 (Arr. Karg-Elert)
[This edition (Vol. 1 and 2) replaces the former issue BN-14918.]
The two parts contain all the titles of the legendary Richard Wagner album, published in 1914, with 18 concert arrangements of pieces from Wagner's operatic and instrumental works. The arrangements are characterized by consistently good playability and contain a number of Karg-Elert-typical ingredients, which bring Wagner's original works to their best advantage on the organ. They form an interesting antipode to Edwin H. Lemare's arrangements by Wagner and are conceived from the German symphonic organ.
