Works and editions by Sieczynski, Rudolf (1879-1952)
Rudolf Sieczynski was born in Vienna as the son of Polish immigrants. He studied law and worked in the civil service after receiving his doctorate. On the side, he created numerous Viennese songs. One of them, "Wien, Wien nur du allein" (Vienna, Vienna only you alone), became one of the most famous songs of the genre to this day. Sieczynski also rendered outstanding services to Austrian composers. For a long time, he was chairman of the professional association and vice-chairman of the music collecting society AKM.
