Georges Jacob was a student of the well-known École Niedermeyer in Paris and there, among others, a student of Alexandre Guilmant. He became a piano teacher at the Schola Cantorum and organist at Notre Dame de la Gare in Paris. Later and until his death at Saint Ferdinand des Ternes.
