Pièces et editions de Weill, Kurt (1900-1950)

Kurt Julian Weill was born the son of a synagogue cantor in Dessau. He studied composition and conducting in Berlin and then worked as Kapellmeister in Lüdenscheid, but quickly returned to Berlin and began working with Bertold Brecht. Her greatest success was the "Threepenny Opera". In 1935 Weill emigrated to the USA. There he had major musical successes on Broadway, in 1943 he became a US citizen. In 1950 he died after a heart attack.
