Works and editions by Pierné, Paul (1874-1952)

Paul Pierné was born in Metz, Lorraine, in 1874. He took on organ duties in his home church as a teenager and later trained in church music and composition at the Paris Conservatoire. Later he was organist at St. Paul-St. Louis in Paris. As a composer, he covered almost all genres, and many of his chamber music works are still particularly well-known today. Paul Pierné was the cousin of the composer Gabriel Pierné.
