Pièces et editions de Koechlin, Charles (1867-1950)
Charles Koechlin came from a diverse family of entrepreneurs, inventors, and artists. He learned to play the piano and was already composing at the age of 15. An illness ended his engineering training, so he turned to music. He studied composition in Paris and soon belonged to the circles of the Parisian avant-garde. Koechlin composed early modern and partly poly- and atonal. His style is difficult to classify, but today he is considered one of the most innovative - and underrated - composers of early French modernism.
